Alternative & Experimental R&B

Hi. On this blog I post R&B music that pushes the genre’s boundaries, as well as R&B influenced music within other genres and types of music. I’ve never had the intention nor desire to coin “indie R&B” as a definitive genre name for this music. You may call it “indie R&B”, “alternative R&B”, “future soul” or whatever you want, I really don’t care. I just want to show people that there is more to this genre than what you hear on your top 40 radio channel. Most of the time I call the music I post “alternative R&B” because that’s what it is; alternative forms of R&B. The reason I named this blog “indie R&B”, was that the word “indie” is something not usually associated with R&B, yet fit a lot of these artist’s nature, and I hoped that maybe by naming it so I could spark an interest for R&B in people generally not interested of the genre.

Finally, I want to end this little message with another big thank you to all of you who read and follow this blog and a big thank you to all of you who’ve helped it become so popular. I hope you keep on following, because I suspect there will be a lot more innotative R&B coming out this year. Stayed tuned.

Erik
